4 Best to-do List Apps of 2020
The good old fashioned to-do list is still a great helper for many when it comes to productivity. But due to the very versatile nature of smartphones, most of us do not carry a diary and a pen. And therefore developers all around the world have developed a plethora of apps dedicated to the simple task of making a checklist. Some of these apps are elaborate while others are minimalistic. There is a variety of such apps users can choose from depending on their needs.
Here is a list of 4 best to-do list Apps
1. Todoist
An app for users who want power and simplicity in one go. Todoist best feature is that it runs on a variety of platforms like Windows, macOS, Android, iPhone, iPad, Web, this makes it easier for users to sync their to-do lists across platforms. Adding tasks is also easy for example, typing “Complete project 1 Thursday” will create a task named “complete project 1” and set Thursday as the due date. There is a free version with quite a few features and then the paid version that will cost the users about $3/month comes with some additional features. Premium users can also create custom filters and labels for their tasks.
2. TickTick
TickTick works on most platforms so that users can sync their to-do lists on a number of devices. Some of these features are Windows, macOS, Android, iPhone, iPad, Web. It is especially good for users looking for embedded calendars and timers. TickTick is featured with natural language processing which makes adding tasks quick and easy. The mobile version even comes with pinned notifications and widget options which makes multitasking easier for mobile users. One of the unique features of TickTick is its Pomodoro timer, which sets a 25 min session for each task. The premium version is available for $2.40/month but a free version is also available.
3. Microsoft To Do
Even though the app is available for platforms like Android, Windows, Web, iPhone, Ipad it works even better for Microsoft users and old Wunderlist users. The user interface is quite clean and adding tasks is easy and quick as well. Outlook users can sync their work directly to Microsoft to do, so all those tasks are now accessible on mobile as well. Windows users can even use Cortana to add their tasks for them. The best part is that the software is completely free to use and from personal experience is definitely worth a try.
4. Things
Things work for apple platforms like macOS, iPhone, and iPad and are well known for its elegant design by apple users around the world. It is arguably the best To-do list platform I have come across. It has a lot of features that many other to-do list apps can offer but unlike most of those apps, things manage to look a lot uncluttered. It has basic features like easy task adding and syncing to calenders and many underlying functionalities that make it stand out. But along with all such features comes the harsh truth that Things is amongst the most expensive to-do list app out there. There is no free version. And the paid version costs $49.99 for macOS (15-day free trial), $19.99 for iPad, $9.99 for iPhone.
